Career Connect activities are broken down into three categories. An activity cannot be experiential learning for academic credit. To meet Career Connect requirements the activity must be an extra-curricular activity.
Work Experience:
Paid or unpaid work experience that develops professional skills and is relatable to the student’s field of study.
Community Activity:
Activity that contributes to the development of the University and/or wider community and is aligned with the University’s values. For example, Clubs and Society leadership, Volunteering, Student Mentoring, external sporting, cultural or religious activities or volunteering with not for profit organisations.
Personal Development:
Chosen from Career Development Learning workshops, student conferences, leadership and skill training, engagement in mentor relationships, attendance at industry visits or Career Expos.
