Global Experience: 2024 New Colombo Plan Mobility Grant - Expression of Interest for Staff

The Guidelines and Advice to Applicants 2024 has not been released by NCP yet. Please refer to the 2023 versions on the NCP webpage for now. The 2024 versions will be updated as soon as they become available. 

Please complete and submit this form to express your interest in organising an NCP Mobility Project in the 2024 Round. Please submit by 10 July to allow sufficient time to complete your official application. Upon submission of the EOI and approval by HOS, the Global Experience team will email a personalised link to you to access the official application form on the ISEO system. You can run a project multiple times in the project period.

The next step after HOS endorsement and is to complete a formal application on the DFAT Portal (ISEO). You may start preparing your response to the following Selection Criteria in advance:

  • Project Title – should include host location, discipline/subject and type of educational activity, for example – Vanuatu Nursing Practicum.
  • Project Description (500 words) - overview of project, activities, student group, duration (can be multiple modes), general expected outcomes / benefits, why the selected location, funding request (different duration/mode at a different proposed amount), etc.
  • Criterion 1 Ensuring a high quality education experience (300 words) - Describe the educational value of the mobility project, including learning outcomes relevant to the courses participating students are undertaking at their home university. What competencies will students develop through this mobility experience?
  • Criterion 2 Deepening people-to-people and institutional linkages with the Indo-Pacific (300 words) - describe how the Project will establish new and/or deepen people-to-people and institutional partnerships in the Indo-Pacific, and build and sustain these linkages over time
  • Criterion 3 Broadening participation and promoting the New Colombo Plan (300 words) - describe how the Project will support participation by a diverse range of Australian students and promote the NCP in Australia and overseas
  • Criterion 4 Ensuring sound student welfare management in Mobility Projects (300 words) - Describe how your institution will ensure the safety and welfare of participating students, and manage risks during any disruptive events during the project
