This week marks National Student Volunteer Week (NSVW), a time to acknowledge student volunteers across Australia and the meaningful impact of their volunteer work. In particular, we want to celebrate our student volunteers here at the University who generously give their time, energy and skills on campus and to the wider community.
‘Powered by Purpose’, was selected as this year’s theme for NSVW to recognise what motivates students to volunteer. We reached out to our student volunteers, asking them what drove them to participate in Uni Crew.
“Volunteering with Uni Crew has been an amazing experience that’s helped me grow both personally and professionally. I joined because I wanted to be part of something meaningful and contribute to the university community. What keeps me motivated is the chance to meet new people, learn new skills, and make a positive impact.” – Avi, Uni Crew Volunteer.
From Welcome Week to Graduation Ceremonies, Avi has been a dedicated volunteer and support to our student community through our student volunteering program, Uni Crew.
During this week, we’d like to celebrate the contributions of our student volunteers like Avi and their wonderful support to our communities across campus. If you’re a student looking to make a difference, build your skills and be powered by purpose, we encourage you to join our student volunteering program, Uni Crew.
