Nominations are now open for the 2025 Employability Excellence Awards!  

Whether you've excelled in a placement, made an impact through extracurriculars, launched a startup, or built strong industry connections—we want to hear your story. 

The Employability Excellence Awards celebrate the achievements of outstanding students who are gaining real-world experience and shaping their professional futures.  

This year, as the University of Newcastle celebrates 60 years, we reflect not just on our history, but the students who are building what comes next. Whether you're leading, creating, or connecting with industry, your achievements reflect the future we’re proud to support and excited to see unfold. 

The Awards also honour the staff and employers who help make placements and other employability-building experiences possible. If someone has made a difference in your journey, consider nominating them too. 

Nominations close at midnight on Friday, 3 October 2025 (AEST). Visit the Employability Excellence Awards website to explore award categories, check eligibility criteria, and get tips for crafting a strong nomination.
