If you want a career where you can use your science skills to make people healthier, consider becoming a radiochemist or a food chemist!
As a radiochemist, you'll study and analyse radioactive materials and their chemical properties to understand how they behave and how they can be used. You could work in nuclear medicine, using complex chemistry to help create radiopharmaceuticals that diagnose, detect and treat diseases like cancer.
And as a food chemist? You'll examine foods at a molecular level. You'll also study nutrients that humans need to keep healthy, individual flavours and preservatives, contaminants, and changes that happen when cooking or spoiling. There's a big focus on sustainability and limiting food waste too.
