An on-demand, or digital, interview is a type of video interview in which there is no live interviewer on the other end of the line. Instead, you'll be asked to record your answers to a number of pre-set questions.

This type of interview has steadily increased in popularity over the last few years and, with the coronavirus pandemic forcing many employers to switch to virtual recruitment, it's only becoming more common.

Successfully completing an on-demand video interview depends on many of the same factors that matter during a normal face-to-face or video interview. Most notably, the interviewer will want to see that you've done your research on the role and that you can explain why you're suitable for the position.
