Young workers including international students have the same workplace rights as all other workers in Australia.

The Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) is the national workplace regulator. It helps employees and employers understand their rights and responsibilities under Australian workplace laws, and works with them to resolve workplace issues.

The FWO’s services are FREE to all employees and employers in Australia, including international students.

This webinar will cover content including:
• the role of the FWO
• basic workplace rights and entitlements, such as minimum wages and the difference between full-time, part-time and casual employment
• common workplace issues, including unpaid work and the gig economy
• a case study video detailing the real experience of an international student seeking assistance from the FWO, and
• how to use FWO’s free tools and resources.

*Please note this webinar will not be recorded.
